Seldom are the words “trust” and “sales” used in the same sentence…and for good reason…buyers don’t trust sellers.  Most buyers have faced enough sellers who had only their own best interest at heart that they have become skeptical of all sales people.  On the surface, there IS a conflict.  How do I honestly have my customers best interest at heart AND serve my own bottom line?  There is only one answer to this question.  Your customer’s best interest MUST come first.  In fact, Zig Ziglar was famous for saying that you will get what you want if you will help enough other people get what they want.  So true!  Trust-based selling means that you FIRST develop a trust relationship with the buyer and it absolutely must be genuine.  There is no faking it!  Believe me, they WILL know.  The beauty of trust-based selling is that not only must you develop a trust relationship with the buyer, you must trust that your putting them first will benefit you in the end.  Sounds like the golden rule, doesn’t it!

 
The "Used Car Mentality" in sales is gone forever!  Social Media has changed forever the way we do business.  Marketing and Sales will never go back to the way it used to be because the power has been taken from the hands of the seller and placed in the hands of the buyer.  The sales process has gone from "I know what you need!" to "Please, sit down and tell me your needs!"  Trust based selling will win every time, and win BIG.  Trouble is, you can't fake it; they know if you really care.  So, the solution is to learn how to care and genuine seek solutions for those in need.  The rewards will be unbelievable...for you as well as those you who choose to trust you.
